Get started with the Revolut Terminal

Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up your Revolut Terminal quickly - from ordering and unboxing to powering on, connecting to Wi-Fi, and logging in.

Order Revolut Terminal

You can purchase your Revolut Terminal directly through your Revolut Business account—either via the web app or the mobile app.

  1. Log in to your Revolut Business account via a web browser.
  2. Navigate to the Merchant > In-store menu and click the Revolut Terminal banner.
  3. Review product details and click on Add to cart.
  4. Click to review your order details, then click Checkout.
  5. Enter your delivery and payment details to complete the order. You can pay by card or with funds from one of your pockets.
  6. Click Order for ... to finalise your order.

Once your order is confirmed, the device is typically delivered within 1-2 business days.

Packaging overview

Your package includes:

  • Revolut Terminal device
  • USB-C cable
  • Power adapter (UK or EU version, depending on your region)
  • Two rolls of paper (one pre-installed in the printer cover and an extra roll in the box)

Revolut Terminal checklist

Before you can set up and use your Revolut Terminal, make sure:

  • Confirm your Merchant account:
    Ensure you've been approved for a Revolut Merchant account.
    Learn more about Merchant accounts.
  • Check your internet connection:
    Confirm that your Terminal has stable internet connection.

Activate your device

  1. Power on: Press and hold the power button to turn on the device.

  2. Wi-Fi connection: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language and proceed to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

    note

    The device cannot connect to public Wi-Fi networks, or networks that require browser-based authentication. Connect to a private network or personal hotspot.

Troubleshoot power issues

  • If the device fails to power on, connect it to a charger and allow it to charge for at least 5 minutes. After this, attempt to power it on again.
  • If the issue persists, ensure that the battery is securely connected. To do so, open the back panel and verify that the battery is properly seated and plugged in.

Log in

  1. Enter credentials: Input your Revolut Business email and your 4- or 6-digit passcode or password.

  2. Verification: Enter the 6-digit code sent to the phone linked to your account.

  3. Select location (optional): If multiple locations are available on your account, the device will prompt you to choose the location to associate the terminal with. You can update the device's location through the settings.

    note

    Locations can only be created via the Revolut Business web dashboard.

  4. Create terminal passcode: Set up a unique 4-digit passcode fo the terminal. This passcode is required to approve refunds and view transaction reports.
