Additional features
This page covers a variety of additional tools and settings to help you get the most out of your Revolut Terminal. You'll learn how to manage multiple locations, set up your product catalogue, configure taxes, manage team members' access, and generate detailed reports.
Settings
The settings screen lets you customise various aspects of your Revolut Terminal. Access the settings by selecting the More menu in the bottom navigation bar. From there, you can choose from the following categories:

Checkout:
- Enable or disable automatic printing of merchant receipts.
- Enable or disable tipping and customise the tip percentage.
- Select allowed payment methods.
- Configure how receipts are printed.
- Enable Parked bills and split payments
- Enable Pay at Counter mode.

Appearance:
- Switch between dark and light themes.

Network:
- Change the Wi-Fi network.
- Manage SIM and eSIM connectivity.

Security:
- Change the device passcode.

General:
- Sign out to switch accounts.
- Change the device location.
- Change the language of the device.
- Change date and time.
Update software
To ensure your Revolut Terminal has the latest features and security updates, you can manually trigger an update check by restarting the device twice.
Install updates
To update your Revolut Terminal:
- Restart your Terminal device twice in succession.
- During the second restart, the Terminal will automatically check for available updates.
- If updates are available, they will be downloaded and installed automatically.
- The Terminal will be ready to use once the update process is complete.
Your Terminal is set to receive updates automatically when connected to the internet. Manual updates are only necessary if you need to ensure you have the latest version immediately.
Pay at Counter
Pay at Counter enables your Revolut Terminal to accept payment intents pushed from integrated Point of Sale (POS) systems, including the Revolut POS app. When enabled, the terminal polls for payment requests from your POS software and displays them automatically.

Enable Pay at Counter
To enable Pay at Counter on your terminal:
- On the Revolut Terminal, go to More > Settings > Checkout.
- Toggle Pay at Counter to enable it.
- The terminal will now poll for payment intents from your integrated POS system.
When Pay at Counter is enabled, the terminal operates in a passive state, waiting for payment requests from your POS. It will not display the standard checkout screen until a payment intent is received.
Disable Pay at Counter
To return to standard terminal operation:
- On the Revolut Terminal, go to More > Settings > Checkout.
- Toggle Pay at Counter mode to disable it.
- The terminal will return to the standard checkout flow.
Locations
Locations help you keep track of where your transactions take place (e.g., different storefronts or regions).
Manage locations
Managing locations is only available via the Revolut Business mobile or web app.
In the locations settings of your Revolut Business account, you can manage the places where you accept payments. To manage your locations:
- Log in to your Revolut Business account via a web browser.
- Go to > Business account > Merchant profile > Locations.
- In the Locations pop-up, you can:
- Select and edit the details of your existing locations, e.g., update the address or name which is printed on your receipts.
- Add new locations by clicking the New button.
- Duplicate locations by clicking > Duplicate.
- Delete locations by clicking the > Delete.
- Once done with your changes, click

Change the Terminal location
The location assigned to your Terminal determines how your business details appear on customer receipts. Additionally, if you're using parked bills, it's essential that your Terminal's location matches the one used in your POS.
To update the location used by your Terminal:
- On your Terminal, go to the More > General.
- Select Locations, here you can see all your configured locations.
- Tap the location you wish to assign for the Terminal.
- Go back to the main screen, now you can accept payments on your selected location.
Product catalogue
With your Revolut Business account, you can create your own product/service catalogue to streamline your checkout process. The product and catalogue management feature allows you to define your product offerings, and organise them into categories.
Add products
To add products to your catalogue:
- On your terminal, go to Checkout menu > Products tab.
- In the All products seciton, tap on Create new and enter the product details:
- Name: Enter the product name.
- Retail price: Include the price with sales tax.
- Category: Assign the product to an existing category or create a new one.
- Tax rate: Select an applicable tax rate or add a new one.
- Colour: Select a colour for your item for easier identification.
- Tap
Add itemto save your new product.
Edit products
To update product details:
- Navigate to your product catalogue.
- Select the product you want to modify.
- Update any of the product details and save the changes.
Delete products
To remove a product:
- Navigate to your product catalogue.
- Select the product you want to delete.
- Click/tap Delete product.
- Confirm your choice to remove the product from your system.
Categories
Categories help organise products for easier management. They allow you to group similar products together, making it easier to find and process items during transactions.
Add categories
To add a new category:
- On your terminal, go to Checkout menu > Products tab.
- In the Categores seciton, tap on Create new.
- Enter the Name and choose a colour for easy identification.
- Tap
Add categoryto save your new category.
Edit categories
To update category details:
- Navigate to your product catalogue.
- Select the category you want to modify.
- Update any of the details and save the changes.
Delete categories
To delete a product category:
- Navigate to your product catalogue.
- Select the category you want to delete.
- Click/tap Delete category.
- Confirm your choice to remove the category from your system.
Deleting a category does not remove the assigned items.
Tax rates
Tax rates can be configured so merchants can ensure compliance with local tax laws.
Revolut does not determine if taxes apply to your transactions and is not responsible for reporting or remitting any taxes on your behalf.
Add tax rates
Tax rates appear in the Sales tax dropdown during product creation. To add a new tax rate:
- Select an item to edit or add a new item.
- On the add/edit item screen, tap More options (on mobile only).
- Tap the Sales tax dropdown.
- Tap Manage rates.
- Tap Add new and enter a name and percentage.
- Tap

Edit tax rates
- Select an item to edit or add a new item.
- On the add/edit item screen, tap More options (on mobile only).
- Tap the Sales tax dropdown.
- Tap Manage rates.
- Select the rate you want to edit.
- Tap
Saveafter making your changes.
Delete tax rates
- Select an item to edit or add a new item.
- On the add/edit item screen, tap More options (on mobile only).
- Tap the Select tax rate dropdown.
- Tap Manage rates.
- Select the rate you want to delete.
- Tap Delete and confirm your choice to remove the rate from your system.
Deleting a tax rate also removes it from the items where it was assigned.
Reports
Get a detailed overview of your sales and transactions directly from your Revolut Terminal. To access your sales report:
- On your terminal, go to More > Reports.
- Enter your Revolut Terminal passcode and tap
Confirm. - Filter your results by devices and a date range for your report.
- View the information on screen, or print the report by tapping in the top-right corner.
Team members
To use a Revolut Reader, your team members need to be assigned a role and given specific access rights to your Revolut Merchant account.
This feature is only available to Revolut Business users.
Invite team members and assign roles
To add team members to your organisation, you need to send them an invitation:
- Log in to your Revolut Business account via a web browser.
- Navigate to the Team menu and click the Invite button.
- Enter the email address of your team member you want to invite.
- Click
Continue. - Assign a role with Revolut Reader permissions or create a new one.
- Click
Assign role. - An invitation link will be sent to the provided email address.
Provide access rights
There are 2 user roles who can log in to the Terminal:
- Owner / Admin - No additional permission changes needed.
- User - An owner or admin need to assign the required user roles with sufficient permissions.
When creating a new role, at least the following permissions should be provided to allow your team members to use Revolut Terminal:
- Merchant section:
- View merchant transactions
- In-store section:
- Create in-store payments
- Manage in-store settings
- POS section:
- Manage POS app access
Provide any additional permissions to your roles based on your needs.
Join your team
- After your team members receive the invite link, they need to complete the registration process.
- Once registered, download the Revolut Business app.
- They can use their credentials to log in.
Once your team members have an active Revolut Business account, they can use their credentials to log in to the Terminal. For more information, see Get started: Log in.
Cellular connectivity (SIM/eSIM)
This section covers SIM and eSIM management after the initial setup.

To activate the SIM card on the Revolut Terminal:
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert the SIM card.
- Go to More > Network > Wi-Fi and disable the toggle to disconnect from Wi-Fi.
- Restart the device.
Revolut does not provide physical SIM cards to customers. You will need to use your own SIM or rely on the eSIM feature for mobile connectivity.
