How can I quickly set up Revolut POS?

To start using the POS system, you first need to activate it on your Revolut Business web app or iPad. Follow the steps below for each method.

In the Revolut Business web app:

  1. Login to Revolut Business on your browser, navigate to Merchant > In Store menu and click on POS banner
  2. Once on the POS web app, follow these steps to get started:
    1. Add the products
    2. Order a Revolut Reader
    3. Set up your register layout

In the POS iPad app:

  1. Download the iPad app from the App Store
  2. Log into the app using your Revolut Business credentials
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a location
  4. Go to Catalogue and create a simple menu from there.
  5. Pair the Revolut reader with the iPad via bluetooth and you are ready to start transacting

How can I add a location?

  1. Go to the Revolut Business app.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Business account > Merchant profile > Locations.
  3. Click + New.
  4. Add the new location details and save.

Can I use the POS app offline?

No, the app currently does not support offline mode. A stable internet connection is required to use Revolut POS.

Can I connect the POS app to a payment terminal?

You are only able to pair the POS app with the Revolut Reader and Revolut Terminal, which provides competitive transaction fees and funds landing in your account in 24 hours. We do not support any connection with another payment device.

Can I connect multiple card readers to the same iPad?

No, you can connect only one card reader to an iPad at a time. But you can have multiple Revolut Terminals assigned to the same location.

I do not have an iPad; do you provide hardware?

Revolut does not provide hardware such as iPads. You'll need to use your own compatible device.

Does the POS app work on an Android tablet?

No, the app is available only on iPad (iPadOS 13.0 or later) and Mac (macOS 11.0 or later with M1 chip or newer).

Can multiple iPad devices operate in the same location?

Yes, multiple iPads can be used in the same location, but only one device can edit an order at a time.

One staff member can create an order from one device, park it, then another member can pick it up from another device.

I take orders over the counter and from the table. Can I do both in POS?

Yes, the POS app supports both counter and table orders.

When editing the floor plan, the tables are on top of each other. How to fix this?

Drag and reposition the tables in the editor to avoid overlap. Remember to move the first table to your desired location before creating additional ones.

How can I change my staff passcode?

  1. Go to the POS web app.
  2. Navigate to the Settings > Staff menu.
  3. Select the staff member and click Edit.
  4. Update their passcode and click Save staff member.

Updated products or grid not showing in the app.

Navigate to Settings > General settings in the app and tap Re-sync to refresh updates.

If you have multiple layouts on the web app, ensure you select the right layout in the iPad app settings.

How can I modify the layout of products or categories shown in the iPad?

Product and category layout customisation can only be done in the POS web app.

  1. Log in to POS web.
  2. Go to Products > iPad grid.
  3. Drag and drop your products and categories on your layout.

One of the staff members cannot see the manager dashboard. Why?

The manager dashboard is accessible only to users with the "Manager" role.

Can I get a receipt for an old transaction?

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu in the app.
  2. Locate the transaction and tap Receipt to print or email it.

Can I connect the POS to a cash drawer?

Yes, Revolut POS supports cash drawers that are connected to supported printers.

My printer is not discoverable on the POS app.

Ensure the printer is powered on and properly connected. Check if you followed the steps correctly: Printer settings.

Use the printer's setup utility app for troubleshooting (Star Quick Set-up Utility app or Epson TM utility app). If the printer is not discoverable there, the issue may be with the printer itself.

My printer appears offline on the POS app.

Try updating the firmware using the utility app. Refer to the printer's user manual for detailed instructions.

Where can I manage orders incoming via Order & Pay feature?

You will need to have Revolut POS iPad app to be able to view and manage incoming Order & Pay orders.
