Regulated Third Party Providers under PSD2
Third Party Providers (TPPs) are authorized online service providers under PSD2 (Revised Payment Services Directive). If you are either a Payment Initiation Service Provider (PISP) or Account Information Service Provider (AISP) in the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom (UK), you are regulated by financial regulatory bodies in the relevant jurisdictions.
To access our Open Banking API, you must use a valid eIDAS certificate or Open Banking (OBIE) certificate to register your application for production. Registering your application with a valid certificate is sufficient and there is no need for you, as an AISP or PISP, to enter into a contract with Revolut to access the API.
You may still need to contact us if your certificate issuer is using a new issuing certificate which has not yet been added to our trust list.
To check additional regions covered by those certificates, refer to the Global customer access controls.
eIDAS certificates are issued by Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs) in the European List of Trusted Services.
