Features and available operations

The Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce plugin enables you to accept online card payments via your WooCommerce store easily. Additionally, there are other operations that can be made directly from your WooCommerce store:

Fast checkout with Revolut Pay

With Fast checkout you can offer your customers a seamless checkout experience, without the need to enter both shipping and billing details. All the information required to process the order will be retrieved automatically based on details previously saved by the customer on Revolut Pay.

To use the Fast checkout feature, make sure you are using the latest version of the Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce plugin (v4.0.0 or above). For more information about installation, see: Install the WooCommerce plugin.

  1. Log in to your WooCommerce dashboard as admin.

  2. Navigate to Plugins on the left sidebar.

  3. Click Settings under the Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce plugin, and navigate to the Revolut Pay tab:

  4. Select where you want the Revolut Pay button displayed as a Fast checkout button, in the Revolut Pay Fast checkout field. Possible values:

    • Product: Adds the Revolut Pay button, using the Fast checkout flow, to the product page as an alternative to the Add to basket option.

    • Cart: Adds the Revolut Pay button, using the Fast checkout flow, to the cart page as an alternative to the Proceed to checkout option.

    Customers can use the Revolut Pay button to skip the usual checkout flow.

  5. Click Save changes to apply the changes.

Now your customers can use Fast checkout with Revolut Pay.

Refund order from WooCommerce order view

  1. Log in to your WooCommerce dashboard as admin.

  2. Navigate to Orders on the left sidebar.

  3. Select the order that you want to refund, and locate the order details section. Click Refund.

  4. Enter the amount you want to refund, in the Refund amount field:

  5. Optional: Provide the reason why you want to refund, in the Reason for refund field.

  6. Click Refund via Revolut.

You've successfully refunded the customer's payment for this order.

Capture authorized orders by changing their status

Before you begin, make sure that you've selected the Automatically capture order in Revolut checkbox when you configure the WooCommerce plugin.

  1. Log in to your WooCommerce dashboard as admin.
  2. Navigate to Orders on the left sidebar.
  3. Select the order that you want to capture.
  4. Change the status of the order from On Hold to either Processing or Completed.

You've successfully captured the customer's authorized order.

Changing the style of the plugin to match your store's theme

If the plugin does not adapt visually to your website's theme by default, you can customise its color and appearance. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your WooCommerce dashboard as admin.

  2. Navigate to Plugins on the left sidebar.

  3. Click Settings, under Revolut Gateway for WooCommerce plugin.

  4. Navigate to the Apple Pay / Google Pay tab in the plugin settings. The following options can be modified on this page:

    • Action: Controls the text of the payment button. Available values: Buy, Pay, Donate.
    • Theme: Controls the colour theme of the payment button. Available values: Dark, Light, Light-Outline.
    • Radius: Controls the border radius of the payment button. Available values: None, Small, Large.
    • Size: Controls the size of the payment button. Available values: Large, Small.
    • Locations: Controls the locations of the payment button. Available values: Product, Cart.

  5. Click Save changes to apply the changes.

  6. Navigate to the Credit Cards tab in the plugin settings and select the Enable checkbox in the Card widget style - Customise card widget style section:

    • Change the widget's background and font colour to match the theme of your website:

  7. Click Save changes to apply the changes.

  8. Navigate to the Revolut Pay tab in the plugin settings. The following options can be modified on this page:

    • Theme: Controls the theme of the Revolt Pay button. Available values: Dark, Light, Light-Outline.
    • Type: Controls the type of the Revolt Pay button. Available values: Buy, Pay, Donate.
    • Size: Controls the size of the Revolt Pay button. Available values: Large, Small.
    • Radius: Controls the border radius of the Revolt Pay button. Available values: None, Small, Large.

  9. Click Save changes to apply the changes.

  10. Reload your checkout page to see the changes you have made.
