# Features of the Revolut payment apps

The **Revolut Pay** and **Revolut Payment Gateway** plugin provides several essential features for managing your online store.

## Refund orders

Process refunds easily from you Shopify admin panel. You can issue full or partial refunds for orders where **the payment has been captured**.

To refund a captured order:

1. **Log in** to your Shopify dashboard as an admin.
1. Navigate to **Orders** from the left sidebar.
1. Click on the order you wish to refund to open the **Order details** page.
1. Click the **Refund** button.
1. On the refund details page, adjust the quantities or amounts you want to refund. You can refund the entire order or specific items.
1. Optionally, add a note for the customer or restock the items.
1. Click **Refund** to process the refund.

You've successfully issued a refund through Revolut in Shopify.

## Manual capture

By default, Shopify captures payments automatically when an order is placed. With manual capture, you can authorise payments at the time of the order and capture them later. This gives you control over when to collect funds, which can be useful for managing inventory or verifying orders before charging customers.

### Enable manual capture

To enable manual capture of payments:

1. **Log in** to your Shopify dashboard as an admin.
1. Navigate to **Settings > Payments** from the left sidebar.
1. In the **Payment capture method** section, select **Manually**.
1. Click **Save** to apply the changes.

### Capture a payment manually

To capture a payment for an authorised order:

1. **Log in** to your Shopify dashboard as an admin.
1. Navigate to **Orders** from the left sidebar.
1. Click on the order with an authorised payment you wish to capture.
1. Click the **Capture payment** button.
1. In the Capture payment dialogue, confirm the amount you want to capture. You can capture full or partial amount.
1. Click **Accept** to process the capture.

## Cancel orders

Cancel **uncaptured** orders seamlessly within the Shopify admin interface. The integration ensures that cancellations are reflected in your order management system.

You can only cancel orders if your store is configured for manually capturing orders.

Orders already captured can only be refunded.

To cancel an uncaptured order:

1. **Log in** to your Shopify dashboard as an admin.
1. Navigate to **Orders** from the left sidebar.
1. Click on the order you wish to cancel to open the **Order details** page.
1. Click More actions and select **Cancel order** from the dropdown menu.
1. In the **Cancel order** dialogue, you can:
   - Add a reason for the cancellation.
   - Add a note for your staff.
   - Choose to restock items.
   - Send a notification email to the customer.

1. Click **Cancel order** to complete the process.

You've successfully cancelled the order. The cancellation is now synchronised with your Revolut Merchant account.
